The Multimodal of Cuteness

Lead visual designer for Youthinspire's debut at UNFOLD Macao 2025. Created the main visual identity and poster series inspired by Macao's retro gaming culture and Riso print aesthetics. The design language fused 8-bit pixel art, high-contrast color palettes, and grain print texture to build a cross-city visual narrative — juxtaposing London and Macao city symbols in a playful pixel journey that traced Youthinspire's path from London to Macao.

Process

Researched Macao's arcade and gaming visual culture as the core design reference. Translated retro 8-bit pixel aesthetics into a contemporary Riso-style print language — balancing nostalgia with graphic punch. Designed the poster series around three visual elements: pixel-animated movement, London × Macao architectural icons, and Youthinspire's flowing trajectory connecting the two cities. Every piece was crafted to feel cute, playful, and kinetic — a visual system that could live on walls, social media, and physical merchandise.
